Then measure the waist circumference at the narrowest part of your waist, just above your navel. Finally, measure the sleeve length from the center of the back of your neck to the shoulder, then down to your arm to determine the desired cuff length. How do you iron a shirt?

Ironing a shirt correctly is important to look neat and tidy. By following the steps below, you will achieve a wrinkle-free and perfectly ironed shirt.

Preparation: Make sure your iron is set to the correct temperature, usually indicated on the label of the shirt. Fill the iron with water if you want to use the steam function.

Collar: Start ironing the collar. Open the collar and iron the back side first, from the center to the edges. Turn the shirt over and then iron the front of the collar.

Cuffs: Open the cuffs and iron the inside of the cuff followed by the outside. Avoid ironing over buttons and make sure to smooth the corners of the cuffs.

Shoulders: Place one shoulder over the narrow end of the ironing board. Stroke down from the top of the shoulder and repeat for the other shoulder.

Sleeves: First iron the sleeve on one side of the seam and work your way down from the shoulder. Turn the sleeve over and iron the other side of the seam. Repeat for the other sleeve. For an extra neat finish you can make a light fold at the top of the sleeves.

Front and back: Iron the front and back of the shirt in sections, ironing from top to bottom. Try to iron over the buttons as little as possible.

Finish: Immediately hang the shirt on a clothes hanger and close the top button to keep the collar tidy. Let the shirt cool down and dry before wearing or storing it.

How do you fold a shirt?
